Been meaning to visit here for years. Finally did today with disabled mum and both loved it. Access is good for disabled. Friendliest, most confident squirrels in walled gardens. New go to place. Still loads to explore there

Great place to take the kids for a few hours. Swing park to keep them entertained and plenty of wildlife to see - especially this time of year. And you can always finish off your visit with a cheeky little ice cream 😋

Lovely park with a fantastic ice-cream shop and lots of interesting areas such the sensory garden; the beautiful mansion; the rose garden; the 1000-year-old Allerton Oak tree and not forgetting the famous Calder stones themselves. The kids and dog love it there too.

A beautiful park especially on a summers day, lots of things to do for the younger kids they can even feed the ducks or geese at the lakeside (railings fitted of course) fishing is permitted obviously a licence is required. The park wardens also arrange different events for the kiddies during school / nursery holidays. Locals are very proud of this park & are battling with the council & property developers trying to prevent it from being destroyed.
