READ FOR REAL REVIEW. (AWFUL). In December I went to NYU Langone Medical Center to see Dr. Dryer, the orthopedic surgeon, who did my Scoliosis Surgery when I was 14 years old. I began to have serious spine issues, at the age of 23 and went in for X-Rays. My first visit was a wait time of 2 hours. After the X-Ray, they said I had to come back to see the results. When I went back, the system shut down and I was unable to see my results. The doctor told me he found a tumor in my upper thigh and he wanted to take an MRI and more X-Rays -- I explained that my insurance will not be taken and I cannot afford to pay thousands of dollars in medical bills. He said that because he found the tumor and did my surgery, he felt responsible for my health and I would only have to pay the co-pay. After paying the co-pay, taking MRI's and more x-rays, and learning that it was not a cancerous tumor, THE OFFICE BILLED ME OVER THREE THOUSAND ($3,000.00) DOLLARS WORTH OF MEDICAL BILLS. When I called the nurse she said "we do not take care of the billing" and I went on to explain I was charged $255.00 for an appointment that I did not see my results because the system shut down and she said I still had to pay the bill. COMPLETE B*******. This hospital sucks and the customer service is AWFUL. I still have not received a call back from them and I called over 10 times to speak to the doctor. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL. Go to St. Barnabas in New Jersey, or any other hospital in NY.
