For more fun than a wet Sunday morning in Leeds, why not spend some time at the Furniture Warehouse which has moved to 1 Warwick Road South and is a much bigger space than the last place on Upper Chorlton Road, which means more mad rooms of junk. Directly opposite Old Trafford Tram Station, Old Trafford Cricket Ground and next door to the Manchester PDSA Pet Hospital, it's a great place to rummage around and expect to find the unexpected: from walking sticks; chamberpots; bookshelves; fridge freezers; kichen bric-a-brac; armchairs and settees; lamps and chandeliers; cuddly toys; office equipment; and all sorts of other nonsense inbetween, even stretching to an eight foot polystyrene cactus and all at a fair price. They also offer a furniture upholstery service. Delivery is available for a very fair price, for the bigger items. Pete's friendly advice and witty repartee come at no extra charge.
