Just cancelled my membership at Hammers with 2 other friends - 3 of my other friends will most likely be cancelling as well. Management sneakily bumped up the prices, despite the contract we all signed agreed on a set rate - the same rate we had all been on for 2 + years. Upon cancelling, we were informed there was a 28 notice period - which means we are STILL going to be charged the higher rate ~ which we did not agree to ~ during this time. Bit ridiculous to be honest - they didn't give us a '28 day notice' on the price increase - if they had we would have cancelled then!! Very sneaky...all we got was "there was an email sent out" - I didn't even get the email, but a one sentence line at the bottom of a newsletter doesn't suffice and certainly isn't enough of a 'notice period'. Happy to take our money elsewhere - but for now would be nice if they AT LEAST charged me my original rate for this period. *FYI fellow gym friends* - Genesis has a 2 for 1 deal at the moment for only $9 pp - and they have more classes! That's where we are headed... Best of luck to those who stay, Brock is the only good, nice and helpful one there!!
