Very disappointed in this venue. This was booked for a christening. The event Manager was very unprofessional in all aspects the menu was a total sham . Steak was the only meat bought out despite both steak and chicken had been ordered weeks prior then the event manager had the audacity to state she was not the one who made the mistake until it was proven she stuffed up when shown the emails and then she double checked. She then advised that the chicken would have to be bought in and cooked . 1.5 hours later it was served.....undercooked over salted and cold. Nothing that was ordered was served . The event manager offered a half hearted apology with a terrible attitude . People were constantly being shown through the venue despite objections being voiced. If you book a private venue you would expect it to be just that . Private. To get a drink at the bar was quiet a wait as well. Very unprofessional all round left the parents very distressed over the child's christening. As a guest and grandparent of the child i would advise anyone one thinking of using this venue to reconsider and spend their money elsewhere less stress and most certainly better service. Be assured one star is certainly over rated

Very disappointed in this venue. I also attended the same christening as the review below and after reading the owners response to that review and others feel the staff and owners will find a way to blame the patron for the errors created solely by the staff. Just to reiterate the following. The event Manager was very unprofessional in all aspects and the menu was a total disaster. Despite the fact chicken had been ordered weeks prior to the event the chicken had to be bought in on the day and cooked as steak was the only meat they planned to serve on the day. Guests were eating at all different times. The manager had the audacity to argue with the parents and state she was not the one who made the mistake but it was theirs until it was proven by three people she was at fault when shown emails and she double checked. 1, 5 later the chicken was served completely inedible undercooked over salted and cold. Nothing that was ordered was served. This is not adequate service when elderly diabetics are in attendance The event manager offered an apology but with a terrible attitude. To get a drink at the bar was quite a wait as well to the point patrons walked away and did without . Very unprofessional all round left the parents very distressed over the child's christening which should have been a wonderful day. As a guest I would advise anyone one thinking of using this venue to reconsider and spend their money elsewhere where there will be less stress and most certainly better service. And if you complain it seems the Owner and Manager will find it be your fault. Be assured I agree one star is certainly overrated

We held our university student association cocktail at Harbour Kitchen for the 2nd year in a row! Once again we had great feedback from attendees about the venue! The photos from the venue turned out amazing. The food came out timely and was yummy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a great assortment of food and drinks, and we would definitely use this venue again!

I am writing to you to inform you that our guests were not pleased with Harbour Kitchen’s service this past Sunday. The complaints we received ranged from a lack of service from the staff to their food being cold and not to a satisfactory quality - my husband and I agree with their complaints as they are valid. Guests were not asked for drink orders on their arrival but were served entrees. – one would assume drink orders would be taken prior to any meals being served without us having to request it ?? The main meals were incorrect – We ordered steak and chicken, we were only provided steak. This was addressed on the day however this already caused frustration as certain guests had to wait longer for the chicken to be cooked since they DO NOT eat red meat Some meals were cold – Some guests advised once they received their meals that it was cold and were told they would be “reheated in the microwave”—highly unacceptable!! Cake was served “as is” – inconsistent pieces were cut, no extra toppings such as ice cream etc were provided despite it being advised by yourself that there would be No tea / coffee offered any teaspoons, sugar etc -- again we had to ask for somebody to go around to the tables??? Music being constantly turned up when we asked for it to be turned down numerous times Overall poor / bad service from the staff--- for the reasons stated above, not very friendly either which is Just unacceptable I’m sure there are other issues however the above are the ones that stood out the most on the day. It was very disappointing to have this experience and not to mention embarrassing to have something that should have been a joyous day turn out to be partially enjoyable as a result of the above. Before you reply with your generic rubbish I will tell you, none of my guests inquired about a function as all of them were highly dissapointed with your venue, food was sent back to the kitchen as I sent my own back (so you may need to speak to your chef regarding your so called 'strict food safety'). Your events manager is just plain rude and shifts blame to others and you will not take responsibility for letting customers down. Yes you offered us a $200 credit but let's face I would never step back in your venue again ! And furthermore when customers email with complaints handle them more professionally. I do not require you to reply nor do I want a reply as I've heard all the rubbish you have to say. (let's face it even if you do reply it'll be a straight copy paste job from our email)

We had my sons 18th Birthday here and it was fantastic! Service and food were both excellent! Staff were very attentive and friendly! I cannot highly recommend it enough for anyone contemplating an event here! Atmosphere was awesome being by the water! I had many compliments from guests!
