Went in to get wood cut and was told can't be done. I had the same type of wood cut from the home base in Oxford. Home base needs to keep their practice consistent. Also I am using a circular saw to make my cuts which works wonder. Surely home base got a machine more powerful than mine to make those cuts. As they only do these type of woods in a 2.4m size, I only want to shave off a bit so that it fits in my car. Not impressed.

Been to many branches and this one is much better than most. Tidier, cleaner, better staffed, well lit, big car park, yes a couple of miserables working there but thats normal in this era of slaved labour.

Good news. It's been taken over. New shop in 2018.

Great place to pick up all your decorating needs and so much more. They sell Garden plants and accessories plus all the stains,paints etc you could ever need . Indoors you'll find BBQ, garden furniture,all the bits and bobs to brighten up your home such as wall papers and shelving and some things you never realised you wanted. The staff are friendly and helpful and they have a vast amount of products to buy on their website too.

This Homebase is the WORST store I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. Unfortunately it is my closest DIY shop and on almost every occasion I visit there is low to zero stock. This is consistent across paint, tools and equiptment and the garden centre. They have appalling stock management and the staff aren't able to give any indication of when they will be restocking. You're better off ordering online.
