I used Irwin Mitchell for a case involving my vulnerable disabled relative who remains in an unsuitable residential home, where they have and continue to be provided with recurring inadequate care and support. The solicitor only addressed a deprivation of liberty safeguard authorisation that should have been in place and did not once contact me to address the concerns I had. The firm's paralegal and solicitor took the opinion of a negligent social worker and careless advocate as fact, I later proving the social worker's records erroneous and the claims made by the advocate/RPR provided to my vulnerable relative to be untrue. Due in part to this firm's disregard of my concerns, my vulnerable disabled relative remains in an unsuitable residential home where inadequate care and support continues, and where he expresses he does not wish to return to when he rarely visits his family home. As this firm's solicitor in my opinion effectively supported negligent individuals provided to my brother, which has impacted on his and my health, wellbeing and family contact, I would and could not recommend this firm and suggest you look elsewhere for matters involving a vulnerable individual's statutory or mandatory rights, and social care.
