I normally love shopping at Morrisons, but my experience was ruined one evening recently when I had filled my trolley and arrived at the checkouts to find that only the self service ones were open. Having queued up, I then spent a stressful and highly embarrassing 10-15 minutes trying to find the bar codes on my shopping, having to seek help from other shoppers as to how to weigh my fruit and veg, and then having an ‘unexpected item in the bagging area’ which a store assistant had to help me with. When I asked him why there were no tills open, he shrugged and said “We’re short staffed” Well, I’m sorry, but it’s not good enough! If this happens again, I will be leaving my trolley for you to return to the shelves, I’m afraid. I’m not an elderly or infirm person, so goodness knows how such a person would cope. This experience really put me off shopping at Morrisons, especially in the evenings. It’s so disappointing.
