If I could give it a 0 star I would. Honestly, if you are the victim of a crime (which you probably are if your here) then I recommend you go elsewhere to file your complaint. The main woman at the desk (I didn't get her badge number) was so incredible rude. I was very nervous going, the nature of the crime was sensitive and she treated me with such disrespect and so little value. She asked me why I was there. I kept it short and to the point to which she said "that's not a crime, what is the crime?" Side note - Who was she to state a judgement prior to hearing the entire case? I again said that I was there to file a complaint. She then stared at me like I was an alien and rudely said "just describe what happened." I asked if I had to say it through the glass window and looked around dramatically and said sarcastically: "well, where else are you going to say it?" So there I was, standing in the lobby of the precinct, feeling venerable, recounting the crime through a dirty plate glass window. To a police officer who looked at me like I was less than human, more like a dog. I felt like the 10 minutes in the lobby re-traumatized me. I guess I expected more from a person sworn to serve. Please, if you value yourself, do NOT go to this precinct. If you have no choice in the matter, bring someone who is a strong advocate, you’ll need it.
