You do have to pay to get into this museum. However, it is an excellent museum and incredibly well put together. My whole family enjoyed it a lot and my son had a lot of questions about history and other things. The fact that you need to pay makes it less crowded than other museums on the National Mall. There were a lot of very cool interactive exhibits and we were able to do most of them (wasn't too busy). The Berlin Wall exhibit, 9/11 exhibit, and the hall of newspaper headlines from very early on (1800's I think?) were all absolutely amazing and somewhat life-changing. They generated a lot of discussion about me and my husband's life growing up and topics like "Mom/dad what was happening in the news when you were my age?" Very cool. Definitely worth the visit; great for kids and adults alike. Older kids (10+) will get the most out of this museum I think.

This place is pretty expensive at almost 27.00 dollars for normal entry. However it's Such an informative place to go. I had so much fun receiving all the knowledge this place had to offer. The views from the 6th floor were so amazing. I love how they have front page news from all over the world. It was great to see them pay homage to all the falling journalist that gave their lives to bring the truth to the light. The F.B.I area was pretty cool. I look forward to coming back.

This was an awesome experience! Unlike most DC museums there is an admission fee. It was $25/adult but that was good for 2 days. The exhibit outside the newseum drew us in, they have the current day front page of all 50 states and some other countries on display. The Pulitzer Winning photo exhibit was extremely well done and takes you through a range of emotions. They have an actual piece of the Berlin wall and watchtower, again waves of emotions. The view from the top deck provides excellent photo opportunities as you have a unique view of both the capital and Pennsylvania street. The history of news was a great exhibit very well planned and an excellent walk through world history. This attraction is fun and family friendly. My wife and I were able to connect with all of the exhibits because we had actually experienced most of them or could relate to stories we have seen in various forms of media. We were there 4 hours and could have used 2 more. If you have the time and opportunity to visit we strongly recommend it and do not think you will be disappointed.

Tickets are good for 2 days. I suggest going in smaller groups to take advantage of all exhibits. These are emotionally motivated and interactive. Take your time. Take each exhibit in individually. It's a great learning experience. If taking children I suggest visiting the exhibits first. Educating the children on what they are about to explore first. Relax after each exhibit to process. Photo and video is allowed. This is a museum like no other in the world. My view on our world was changed by this fantastic Educational experience for the better. Bring tissues. A MUST FOR ALL TO VISIIT !

Newseum is a wonderful experiential place. You start by seeing a section about 9/11 and one on the Berlin Wall, then go to the outdoor deck on the 6th floor for a memorable view of the Capitol. Work your way down each floor. Be sure to watch every video. They are well worth the time. Good reminder that freedom of the press and freedom of speech are to be valued in our democracy.
