Blew me away. No availability on English tour so went with the Italian guide. Stunning building. Tip: book in plenty of time. This is as much as 'must-see' as the Sistine Chapel.

We stopped here after ending our 1st day in Rome by walking through Piazza Navona. We did not have reservations and they went out of their way to get us a nice little outdoor table while they were busy and had incoming reservations to handle. Party of 3 and from our appetizers to our wine to our dinner - everything was AMAZING, very well priced and the staff were awesome. I would not hesitate recommending this place to anyone.

Very good location, clean! and pretty well managed. Staff was really kind and professional. Not a fancy place at all, the breakfast is below the average and the bar is always closed. I would suggest it if you don't have too many expectations and spend all day out as you will probably do in Rome.

I went as part of a group of 22 British and Americans. Those who applied with less than six weeks notice were refused a place. Six more were refused entry on the day without justification. So only half the party got in. Despite the fact a tour in English had been booked the tour was given in Italian and our guide was not allowed to translate or give his own information. Some of the building was defaced in the sixties by a Frenchman who insisted the of the walls be defaced with rag rolling. Are the French rude? YES. Don’t bother going here!

4/ 5

Just behind touristy Campo de’ Fiori lies the elegant Piazza Farnese and its (namesake) Palazzo Farnese, the seat of the French Embassy in Rome and one of the most important High Renaissance villas in all of Rome. It was designed in the early 16th century for the influential Farnese family and features important artworks, including Annibale Carracci’s elaborate The Loves of the Gods ceiling fresco. The secret of Palazzo Farnese lies in the fact that the building is open to the public through guided tours, with English tours taking place each Wednesday at 5pm.
