Petit Palais paris France

I loved that on a busy day in cold December, there were no lines to get in and that the place was not packed with noisy students. The gardens are small, but lovely. The Cafe has normal prices and a delicious selection of snacks. And the permanent collection is diverse and engaging. I enjoyed the religious art section (objects from Ethiopia and Greece especially). I would recommend a stop if only to admire the building that was built for Expo 1900.

We really enjoyed the Pastel was very nice indeed. No fuss as there was no queue! Pretty straightforward. Will come back for the permanent exhibition.

First Petit Palais is a wonderful historical architectural masterpiece by Girault from the 1900's Universal Exhibition. The permanent collection with beautiful fine arts pieces is free and you have great events and temporary exhibitions. The wild garden inside with the café add even more charm. The floor and its mosaics, miraculous high ceilings, golden treasure door, majestic iron stairways... a gem.

Architecturally one of the biggest wonders I found in Paris. The exhibitions and permanent collection aren't mind-blowing but there's free acces to the internal garden and caffetteria from there you can admire the fine architectural details of the building. Good experience overall. Admission to the permanent collection is free as well.

Wonderful art museum - very large palace at one time with gardens and good restaurant. Always a place to sit, rest, and observe. Small expos mingle within the permanent collection- jaw dropping works of art - sculpture, canvas' large and small. Very lively place. Will go back. A good walk from the gardens and the Lourve.
