The Royal Liver Building is one of the 3 Graces that dominate the Liverpool waterfront. The building is Grade 1 listed and part of Liverpool's UNESCO World Heritage Maritime Mercantile City. On completion in 1911 it became home to the Royal Liver Assurance group. Amongst the other splendid buildings at the Pier Head, the Royal Liver Building is easily recognised due to the two Liver Birds perched on the clock towers.
