Dr was completely dismissive. Didn't listen to a word I said, didn't examine me and treated me like a drug addict because I have a nurofen allergy. I felt completely humilitated.

This Medical Centre is a like a box of chocolates , you just don't know what you will get! Some doctors are great and some doctors you rather not have again. I started going when all doctors bulked bill on weekdays, but now it seems some of the doctors think they are more superior than the other doctors and have started charging above medicare fee. Like for example Dr Boyatzis, use to bulk bill all patients on weekdays.But now she doesn't. She is probably not bulk billing all patients any more just for her friendly personality and service with a smile(As that seems to be a real effort with some Doctors here).She is not necessarily the best doctor at Rozelle Medical Centre to be charging above bulk bill. Maybe some of the doctors at Rozelle Medical are generalising that all people that live in Balmain or Rozelle can afford their gap fee. I think they should have continued with all doctors bulk bill on weekdays(Suck it up Doctors who want more $$$$) and gap fees are only charged on weekends. It's all rather confusing really. They are all General Practitioners , No specialist title to their name to justify why they are allowed to charge more compared to the bulk bill Doctors at the same medical centre. If you work for a medical centre that advertises bulk billing available , that's what all doctors who work there should do.

I went to see doctor to get sick certificate for my sinus infection. When I requested Dr. Latha Birra to state URTI (upper respiratory tract infection) for the reason of sick leave, she YELLED at me and saying “why do I have to write that”! I was shocked and speechless... I just don’t understand why Dr. Birra got so angry and lost over that???? I definitely wouldn’t recommend Dr. Birra based on my several consultation experiences with her.

It is clean and nice looking with good space and waiting times are low. The receptionists are very friendly and warm. The GP I saw (Dr Birra) was very dismissive and unfriendly (almost rude) and very unapproachable. The person who took my bloods was also unfriendly. I like the surgery location as it is convenient so I will try again with a different GP

When I had my pap smear, the GP told me I would only be called in if the test results were abnormal. I received a call a couple of days ago to discuss my results. Naturally, I spent the next few days terrified, convinced that something was wrong. I went in for my appointment last night, the GP asked what he could help me with, and I told him I was there for my results. He told me they were normal. I mentioned the last few days and he said, "Well I don't know why they would have told you to come in. They shouldn't have done that". Um . . . thanks? No one needs to go through that stress unnecessarily. Communication is definitely something they need to work on.
