Stunning setting in the Herts countryside. Decent spa, pool, gym. Afternoon tea decent and half the price of the same in London. Great grounds at the rear for a glass of something in the sunshine. Building is amazing at the front, too square and concrete at the back, but the rooms are all good. Corridors full of signed football shirts from teams that have stayed there (used to be England's base before they moved to The Grove).

Location is a little way out. However that's why you come here to get away.. rooms are well presente

A lovely experience. Spa and dinner with over night stay in the balcony sweet. Anniversary meal in the restaurant with an extra celebratory sweet. Food and wine was superb. Topped off with some rather special cocktails in the bar. Selection at breakfast was incredible.

Just half an hours drive from north London and we're in the countryside at Sopwell. Plenty of attentive staff on a busy weekend - 3 weddings, lots of guests. Clean well presented room. We went for one night spa deal. More expensive than really wanted to pay, but the spa was spotless, pool large and pristine clean, and reflexology treatment of extremely high standard. 3 meals were all good - perfect roast beef and Yorkshire puddings, plus tasty deserts.

Went here for a spa day. Lovely day using the facilities and had a really good spa treatment as well
