This sauna extends over two floors – the ground floor has a sauna, old steam room (with a new steam room as yet to be completed), Jacuzzi, changing area and a bar serving food and drinks. The first floor has various restrooms and video areas as well as the only showers in the building at the present time. Some extensive works of modernisation have been carried out over the last few years. Unfortunately, they have not been completed and it leaves showers on the first floor, which is a dry area. It is extremely annoying to have to go upstairs to shower when you first arrive and also when you wish to take showers after use of the steam room, Jacuzzi and sauna. Apparently, the old steam room is to be turned into the ‘new’ showers but this has been taking so long, one wonders whether it will ever be finished! I find it extremely annoying that a sauna should expect its clients to wait such a long time for the facilities to be brought up to a reasonable standard especially as there is no price concession for the inconvenience whilst these works are being carried out. This is a shame as the property has plenty of potential and is quite popular with a good age and ethnic mix. The bar serves quite nice meals and there is free coffee and tea. There is an external yard area for smoking and sunbathing. There is some limited parking on the site although you can park at ease in adjacent roads. The standard entry price is £14 but there are some entry concessions including £8 entry before 11am or £10 entry after 6pm etc. There are various ‘themed days’ throughout the week - Check the website.
