Absolutely gorgeous. Gigantic, with so much to see. The cafe's food is even good! Desert garden is dope and the Japanese garden is utterly captivating (with carved initial covered bamboo trees for days). Go in the spring to catch the rose garden in bloom. Also the library itself is rad, they've got these old books that are huge. Great place to spend an afternoon.

Beautiful gardens, yummy food options - make a day of it and bring all visitors. A truly special place. It can get hot in the summer. Several gardens to enjoy. They have a lovely tea they serve in the afternoon. Their rose, Australian and children's garden are magical. If you encounter someone who works there and has the time, you may be in for some fun insights. The museum on the property is a great place to go into when it's very hot as it is air conditioned and the exhibits are very interesting. They have multiple clean restrooms. If you can, wait until you go inside the gardens since the restrooms at the front tend to have lines.

WOW. The Huntington Botanical garden is a must see for anyone visiting the Los Angeles area. The park is absolutely massive and boasts some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. There are different walking paths that take you through various types of environments. You could easily spend a full day here and not see everything. Amazing date spot that we will definitely re-visit.

The Huntington Gardens changes every season. In the spring the Desert Garden is in bloom which is quite spectacular. In the summer the roses are stunning. In winter, when I made my last visit, there were quite a number of wild grasses In Bloom and irises. Year-round you can enjoy the Japanese and Chinese gardens. There are always special exhibitions that are usually very well curated and manageable. Their permanent collection which is in the main library building consists of the pinky and the blue boy and a Gutenberg Bible. The Huntington has really stepped up their food game. Previously there was only the Tea room which was mediocre at best. But now there are quite a few other options. I highly recommend the upscale food court, the 1900 Cafe. It costs $25 a person admission unless you're 65 or a student. Proof must be supplied and then you pay $20. Parking is free.

This is a treasure trove of history, art, and California. A truly overwhelmingly and lavish display of the Huntington Family’s former residence. You could spend days here. Get here early and bring snacks to keep the kids moving. A photographer’s dreamscape. The gardens are luxurious and sprawling. I would’ve recommended the dumpling house in the amazing Chinese Gardens but it was so packed that we couldn’t get in. Get there early!
