In addition to books and school supplies there is a vast selection of UIC clothing and merchandise as well as a tech area with laptops and earbuds, etc. Only some of the books are able to be rented, which is definitely what you should do when possible. If you buy books then sell them back you only get a small amount back so its not a bad idea to keep your books. Prices for clothing and other stuff are very steep, however it's very high quality with some of the brands being adidas, Under Armour, Champion. The electronics selection is decent and all the employees are pretty friendly. Nice place to hang out too as they have a seating area and some TVs.

They have a lot of stuff here but everything is very expensive. They have really good earbuds tho

I went to return a book at the bookstore. I lost the receipt and explained to them that I called bef

I went to return a book at the bookstore. I lost the receipt and explained to them that I called before asking if it was possible to return the book without a receipt because I used my i-Card. The person on the phone explained to me that my i-Card has a record of my purchases. After I explained my situation, the cashier just rolled her eyes took my i-Card to have reprint a copy of the transaction. Then she went to her co-worker who was working next to her and calling the students stupid for not having their receipt and how students should be charge a fee for not having a receipt. I was able to get a refund for the book that I did not need because the teacher wanted the class to get an earlier edition of the book. I have never been disgusted by customer service especially by bitter old women working at a University Bookstore. Completely unsatisfied with the professionalism of the staff at the bookstore. Never in my life have I ever come across a bookstore whose staff has attitude and such hate for the student population at UIC. Not happy at all with today's customer service at the store
