Amazing place full of the most incredible objects. To do it properly give yourself a day. Cafe is nice. One thing that did let the cafe down was the piano we were sat next to which was covered in a thick layer of dust. Just want you want with your cake and coffee.

Incredible museum. So many beautiful pieces of art. Great descriptions of the work; it was very educational. The building itself was beautiful. You could sort of get lost. Check out the sculptures and Raphael's works. They're the best. The Asian art is super varied and informative as well. Gift shop wasn't perfect. Food looked great, but I wasn't hungry to try it.

4/ 5

This collection is interesting mostly to art buffs and historians. There is a limited number of real attention-grabbing pieces. The 20th century collection is out-of-the-way and somewhat forlorn, while there are rooms and rooms overflowing with rococo fripperies that were more interesting when the museum was founded, I'm sure, than they are now. The collection of ancient and Medieval decorative art was the strongest part of the museum. Free admission is a huge plus. Decorative art fans, look no further.

We came to see the Balenciaga exhibition. Which was great. Good size. Well presented. Informative. Cool animations to explain the tailoring. The Plywood exhibition was a great eye opener. The V&A is a huge place. Overwhelming. Don't expect to see everything in one day. The cafe had a very nice selection of food. At reasonable prices. A bit noisy though.

I am talking about the Friends restaurant here. We went here at about 16.00 and luckily they had a 2 for 1 cocktail hour. The food had stopped as they were closing in an hour but we liked the venue. The service was a bit slow but the cocktails were great.
