Missed a payment on a 0% credit card in the pressure of planning our wedding (balance due two days before). It was an honest mistake and technically breaches contract, however we swiftly rectified the mistake and agreed that the interest being charged for both that month and the following one would not be challenged as this was our error at a stressful time. Asked that our interest free be reinstated but was told by three different departments including complaints that it couldn't be. This left us with the choice of settling a £4k balance to prevent astronomical interest payments, or to get another credit card and balance transfer. Would you get another credit card whilst purchasing a house? We decided it wasn't worth it and had to shell out £4k that we were planning to spend the next two years paying off!!! Incredibly poor customer service and complete lack of understanding from a company that prides itself on being customer centric! I shall never deal with them again.
