A cosy feeling inside that makes you want to stay and browse. Apparently, however , many books are cheaper to buy from the Waterstones OWN website - but you can still (to avoid postage) pick them up your local shop. . Do we want to see the High Streets and town centres become just a line of betting shops and charity shops ! ! My husband asked in a branch whether he had to go through the Rigmarole of ordering on line , then coming back to collect the book, or whether he could just have it off the shelf at the online price. The manager agreed. Madness !

I love browsing here but there are stairs to the first floor so all but bestsellers and children's books are inaccessible to wheelchair users or people with mobility issues which seems totally unacceptable.
