I did not feel welcomed and noticed people were grouped into their own sub-groups, there is no community feeling and the atmosphere feels like everything is racially motivated. The current committee who are meant to represent the community and its diverse worshipers ONLY consist of indo-paks called the tableegis. As a result, they have a closed approach to everything - for eg: they do not promote events (unless their own members are headlining it, or it runs in conjunction with their skewed beliefs). During normal prayer times, the mosque is fairly busy. The Imam called Abdul Sattar has a great voice for recitation and is very friendly when you meet him, however you will not get a Islamic verdict from him, nor does he address issues facing the community or the wider Muslims as this usually involves some sort of "controversy". A very much, in the background, out of the light type of man. The odd occasion you run into a committee member, they are cheesy and cosmetic in their meet and greets. Their close minded attitude to running the mosque is driving worshipers away, and they make it clear that they do not care. Some of their followers practice magic and run a extortion scam. Some of the other issues I have noticed from the committee were, their bully tactics to oust members by spreading rumors (already resulted in one persons death), kicking women out at a time they were most vulnerable (dawn/night prayer) claiming they should pray at home, their failure to protect information held on worshipers, and their over-eagerness to join the ever failing "prevent" scheme.
