Just about 20 minutes from the Venice Pier this park is a peaceful gym with spectacular views of LA.

Just about 20 minutes from the Venice Pier this park is a peaceful gym with spectacular views of LA. There's a pretty easy 2 mile hike that you can take dogs on leash along to Point. Interesting vegetation, nice paths, and a gorgeous long lane of amazing eucalyptus trees. Very friendly Park Rangers to help guide us to parking and answer questions on a busy day. Definitely worth $12 to get into this place and have a lovely time. Also saw no litter, Hallelujah!

Great easy hike to Inspiration Point with several trail options to get up there, it takes about 1 hour round trip, not shaded but also not crowded. Airliner canyon, ocean and city views, 180 degree Malibu to downtown L.A. Horses, bikes and dogs are allowed on trails. Plenty of safe pay parking, open from sunrise to sunset.
